Title: Chocolate Banana Terrine

Yield: 4 Servings*

5smMed ripe bananas, peeled
  But left whole
1cHeavy (whipping) cream
1lbExcellent* quality bitter
  Sweet chocolate, chopped
  Into small pieces

* realistically you could serve 8 because this is very rich.

Lindt Chocolate for example.

Line an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with plastic wrap. Place the bananas lengthwise in the pan to make two layers (like stackedlogs).

In a small saucepan, bring the cream to a boil, remove from the heat and melt the chocolate in the cream, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. When the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth, pour it over the bananas. Let cool and refrigerate overnight.

Unmold, remove plastic wrap and slice.

Optional: serve with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
